The Law of Moses and the genetic code

 

According to atheistic science, nothing makes sense, yet you can have a meaningful purpose even if the universe does not. According to this view, the universe just spontaneously came into being completely purposeless, meaningless.

An atheist searching for the meaning of life is like a man digging into a pocket to find a few coins to satisfy his commercial desires.

If this were a healthy attitude, then what is the point of consciously putting an embroidered tablecloth on the table, when it would be enough to put a piece of rag on it that the dogs had previously torn apart! But if the table was created with a purpose, then the tablecloth also fits this sophisticated purpose, behind which there are intelligent (demanding) background factors. The need as a cause precedes its object as a consequence.

Mainstream science cannot catch up to this level of superior intelligence, as Jesus Christ once and for all stated as eternal truth:

In 1998, Atkins stated the following:

“There is not one jot of evidence for cosmic purpose. It’s a reverse engineering of the quest for god.”

To show how wrong this is, let's look at two glaring examples that not many people notice, and science flatly avoids this realisation because of its tunnel vision. The many accolades that scientists give themselves blind them to obvious truths.

The Law of Moses and the genetic code

Just as the useful equipment of a house is evidence that the house itself is not without its utility-focused purposefulness, the existence of useful "equipment" in the universe is evidence of its purposefulness.

Ultimately, both ageing and death are regulated by certain genetically programmed cellular processes. The genetic code of our body's DNA contains a built-in time limit for human cell reproduction.

[According to evolutionists, ageing is not the result of accumulated damage to the body, but the result of "design errors” in our DNA that guide the development of individual cells into adult organisms. What they call a „design error” is very much not an error, but conscious programming!

Genesis 3:19 With the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat thy bread, till thou return to the ground: for thou hast sinned: for thou art dust, and shalt return to dust.]

As we age, our DNA repair mechanism becomes ineffective and DNA defects are passed on to new cells. This can lead to the development of age-related diseases. It is worth noting that the ability of DNA to self-repair is vital to maintain the integrity of the genetic code and the normal functioning of the body.

In the same way, the law given by Moses had a self-improving (leading people in a morally right direction) ability, and protected Israel from bad diet, dangerous pests and infectious diseases, etc., while also cursing them (bringing death), the ultimate solution of which was fulfilled in Christ.

Nehemiah 9:13 And thou camest down upon mount Sinai, and spake with them from heaven, and gavest them good judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments.

Romans 7:10 And I am dead: for the commandment, which promised life, proved to be death.

Galatians 3:22 But the Scripture has made all things under sin, so that the promise might be given to believers through faith in Jesus Christ.

The civil laws of nations are clearly created by beings (humans) with intelligent minds. Is the genetic code /DNA/ also created by an intelligent mind?

The origin of the genetic code

Researchers into the origins of life say that not only do we not know how the genetic code came about, but we have not made much progress in solving the problem since the code was 'discovered'. So the blunt fact is that the genetic code has no known natural, non-intelligent cause.

“Nevertheless, in a close analogy to the situation with theoretical approaches, we are unaware of any experiments that would have the potential to actually reconstruct the origin of coding, not even at the stage of serious planning.”

“Summarizing the state of the art in the study of the code evolution, we cannot escape considerable skepticism. It seems that the two-pronged fundamental question: “why is the genetic code the way it is and how did it come to be?” That was asked over 50 years ago, at the dawn of molecular biology, might remain pertinent even in another 50 years. From the introduction of “Origin and Evolution of the Universal Genetic Code” in the Annual Review of Genetics (Nov 2017):

“Why are the codon assignments what they are? In other words, why is it the case that, for instance, glycine is encoded by GGN codons rather than, say, CCN codons (the latter of which encode proline in the SGC)?” “Evolution of the code is intimately linked to the origin and evolution of the translation apparatus itself, and this is one of the most fundamental and hardest problems in all of biology.”

From the concluding remarks of the same review:

“Notwithstanding the complete transformation of biology that occurred over these decades, we do not seem to be much closer to the solution. Recalling the list of “why” questions we asked in the introduction, we find that it is hardly possible to answer any of them definitively.” (Eugene V. In light of this, anyone who claims categorically that the genetic code is explained by natural, physical, chemical processes is displaying gross ignorance of scientific facts and carries the onus to prove that claim. That is to say the onus of proof doesn’t fall on anyone who denies the claim that the genetic code has a natural origin (or is agnostic towards it), but rather it falls squarely on those who make the claim that it DOES have a natural explanation.

Not all codes are intelligently designed

Some commentators attempt to show that many naturally occurring phenomena also qualify as codes, just like the genetic code. There is a claim that lightwaves, sound waves, footprints, topography, tree rings, varves, etc. all “carry coded information”.

Any living things, humans, plants have an automatic operating system built inside them. Example: A seed of any kind, once in contact with water, given the right temperature and environment will start to germinate. Inside that seed has an automatic operating system, that will react to any given environment to germinate according to what it was program to do.

Can the "coded information" of light waves, sound waves, footprints, topography, tree growth rings, scarring, etc., create a program inside a seed that induces germination? If not, what does this have to do with the genetic programme of DNA, which contains the blueprint for life? Nothing to do with it!

DNA, an elegant molecule that serves as life's blueprint.

Similarly the Law of Moses served the Jewish people as a blueprint for a godly life.

What contains the genetic blueprints?

Your chromosomes contain the blueprint for your body – your genes. Almost every cell in the human body contains a copy of this blueprint, mostly stored inside a special sac within the cell called the nucleus. Chromosomes are long strands of a chemical substance called deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA).

Chromosomes can be compared to the 613 laws of Moses, which we read about:

"And when Moses had written the words of this law in a book from the beginning to the end, Moses commanded the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying, Take this book of the law, and put it by the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness." (Deuteronomy 31:24-26)

DNA is written in a 4 letter alphabet!

The Hebrew alphabet consists of 22 letters.

The DNA itself does not have the ability to build anything; it serves as a place of storage for information.

In the same way, letters cannot build anything, they are a place to store information.

Atoms are like letters of an alphabet. Letters are chemistry and physics, but chemistry and physics have nothing to do with what letters say.

DNA, or deoxyribonucleic acid, is the blueprint for life in almost all organisms. It carries the genetic instructions that tell an organism's body how to develop, grow, and function. 

Why is DNA called the book of life?

The human genome has been referred to as the “book of life,” containing all the necessary instructions to build a human being.

Anyone who looks for the origin of this in the chemical-physical background is like a man who rummages through the box of his phone to find the origin of the letters that come out of the phone!

In the sobering view of science

"The whole genetic programme is in the service of DNA, not of the people themselves. We are merely temporary containers of life-bearing molecules. In this case the packaging, ourselves, is merely there to be discarded." /Rudi Westendorp, Dutch professor of genetics/

In the Hebrew Bible, on the other hand, the Book of Life records people who are considered righteous before God. To be blotted out of this book is to die. To be in this book is to be given life on the day of judgment.

Revelation 21:27 And into it shall not enter any unclean thing, neither whosoever committeth abomination and lies, but only they which are written in the book of life, which is the Lamb's.

Is the cream of science, which denies the intelligent spiritual origin of the universe and the genetic control of Life /which is the work of God/, written in the book of life, which belongs to the Lamb?

They themselves state:

"The whole genetic programme is in the service of DNA, not of the people themselves. We are merely temporary containers of life-bearing molecules. In this case the packaging, ourselves, is merely there to be discarded."

Well, they chose their own destiny. But just as there was a program of decay and death in the genetic code, there was a curse in the law that resulted in death.

The solution to all this is found in Christ, who took the curse of the law upon Himself, but at the same time conquered death by the sacrifice of His life - to give eternal life, the hope of eternal life, to those who believe in Him and do God's will.

Both the law of Moses and the genetic code point to God's work of both rewarding and punishing those who can master these trials, while sustaining life, so that they may by grace receive their ultimate reward and salvation in Christ's 1,000-year paradise on earth.

"And when the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit in the throne of his glory. And all the nations shall be gathered together before him, and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, and the goats on his left. Then shall the king say unto them that stand on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit this kingdom, which was prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry, and you gave me food; I was thirsty, and you gave me drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in; I was naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you visited me; I was a prisoner and you came to me.

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, and did we feed thee? or thirsty, and did we give thee drink? And when saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in, or naked, and clothed thee? When did we see that you were sick, or that you were a prisoner, and we would have come to you? And the king shall answer and say unto them: Verily I say unto you, If ye have done it unto one of the least of my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Then shall he say also to them that are on his left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for devils and their angels. For I was hungry, and ye gave me no meat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; I was naked, and ye clothed me not; I was sick, and ye took me captive, and ye visited me not. Then shall these also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or a prisoner, and would not have served thee?Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, If ye have not done it unto one of the least of these, ye have not done it unto me.

And these shall go away into everlasting torment; but the righteous into eternal life." (Matthew 25:31-46)

This message is addressed to you, dear Friend, and whether you are able to hear it and take it to heart is up to you. I wish with all my heart that you may have a share in all this:

"And the Lord of hosts will make a feast of fat meat for all the peoples on this mountain, a feast of strong wine; of fat meat for the marrow, of strong wine made clean; and he will take away the veil that covers all the peoples on this mountain, and the covering that covers all the peoples; he will take away death forever, and the Lord God will wipe away tears from every face: And he shall remove the reproach of his people from off all the face of the earth: for the Lord /JHWH/ hath spoken.
